QUANTOM® BAR

QUANTOM® BAR

QUANTOM® Bar is a reinforcing bar made of corrosion resistant glass rebres that are bound by an epoxy resin. The high quality components and the unique manufacturing process result in an outstanding material.

Glassfiber reinforcement

Composite glass-fiber reinforcement is one of the most popular and modern building materials in the world.

This popularity is due to the fact that composite reinforcement has some advantages in comparison with steel reinforcement. Everybody knows that steel reinforcement is very heavy and it takes a lot of energy and time to install it. Moreover, it exposed to corrosion which could cause earlier destruction of concrete construction.

Composite reinforcement is lightweight and non-corrosive which means that using it is profitable.

Strong, light and noncorrosive composite reinforcement has already gained popularity among professional builders. However, many specialists usually working with traditional steel reinforcement are doubting the possibility of replacing steel reinforcement with composite reinforcement.

These worries are caused by the lack of information about the properties of composite materials. To fill this gap, we offer to look through the comparison of metal and composite reinforcement according to the basic parameters. Feedback on composite materials proves that buying them will help you to save your budget under the conditions of crisis so at any other time.

Properties and application of composite reinforcement

Composite reinforcement is the product made of glass fibers bind with thermosetting resins. Its main specialty is the lightness mass index calculated using the unit of volume is only 2 g/mm3.  Work with this material is much easier and more profitable than working with metallic reinforcement. There are fewer spendings while transporting and arming.

Basalt-plastic reinforcement

The popularity of basalt-plastic reinforcement is constantly growing. Especially actual it is in zones of seismic activity. This material is distinguished by its advantageous properties in comparison with steel reinforcement. It is more qualitative with a high level of adhesion with concrete, has powerful anti-corrosion properties.

A great advantage is the low density of the composite 1.9 T / m3 (4 times less than steel reinforcement) and the lightweight of reinforcement. The use of basalt-plastic reinforcement in composition with lightweight concrete repeatedly reduces the load on the foundation while maintaining the required strength characteristics of the object.

BFRP is characterized by the low value of the thermal conductivity index. This is a useful property for thermal savings. It allows minimizing the transfer of heat of the concrete structure. The use of steel rebar in relation to the heat conductive characteristics and the creation of energy-saving conditions is a hundred times worse.

Basalt plastic reinforcing product is characterized by simplicity of installation, it is not required to involve a large number of expending significant physical efforts of specialists.

Lightweight is helping in performing assembly operations. To ensure the fixation of reinforcing bars, there is no need to engage welders, everything is tied together in a single reinforcement structure with ties or binding wire. The very slight disadvantage is the inability to bend the composite reinforcement with the use of a bending machine.

If you order Quantom BFRP bars, you should know that a lightweight bay can be moved to the loading site by one person. By transportation, there is no need to order powerful special equipment.

Reinforcement with Sand Coating

The sand-coated reinforcement successfully counteracts the impact on it from the aggressive alkaline compounds contained in the concrete. It comes in coils 0,9-1,1-1,2-1,4-1,6 meter diameter or in the form of a 12-meter rods. In each coil, there is a 50 l. m. of the reinforcing bar with a diameter of 4-12 mm.

The density of an innovative product is 2,025 T/m3. The modulus of elasticity of the rods made of composite materials is 50.5 GPA under the action of tensile forces. The tensile strength is more than 1250 MPA. An important energy-saving measure is the low thermal conductivity of the composite product.

Rebars with sand cover are manufactured with characteristics that exceed one-third of the required indicators according to GOST.

Composite reinforcement with a sand coating is used to the maximum in the construction industry and in the construction of roads. It is used to create foundation structures, floors, and frames used in industrial and residential buildings.

The use of reinforcing products of this type is considered expedient for the erection of a variety of engineering structures. The sand-covered reinforcement is used to improve the strength characteristics of the brickwork. It is used as a flexible joint.

If you use a composite product in the construction of industrial floors, they will have significant crack resistance. In some cases, composite reinforcing bars are used in combination with metal ones.

Reinforcement products with sand coating can be purchased at a reasonable price. A wholesale buyer can expect a discount.

Fiberglass flexible ties

Fiberglass flexible ties from “Quantom” Company will become an excellent strengthening material for the lining of three-layer walls. The distinguishing features of these elements are:

  • Ease and convenience of use;
  • Reliability and high quality of products;
  • Absence of thermal conductivity;
  • Versatility and long service life;
  • Durability and lightness;
  • Non-corrosive and resistant to external factors.

Every year, building materials are becoming more popular. Find material that may be notable for democratic value, coupled with high quality is quite difficult. Our flexible ties will be an ideal option in the following spheres of application:

  • In brick walls;
  • in multi-layer structures;
  • In structures made of iron and concrete.

The alkaline environment is not a problem for the material: it is resistant to any damages and weather conditions. Fiberglass wins in comparison with metal: it is not so heavy, it looks good, and costs inexpensive. You can buy the necessary number of ties for use in your project on our website.

Plastic is in demand in the construction industry because of its lightness and high environmental friendliness. If you want to choose a reliable material for a long time, but think that the prices for the reinforcement are high then Quantom flexible ties are very convenient in use.
